The food drive relies on the generosity of PHS students and members the local community. In addition to donated food and paper products, students also collect monetary donations for the Perry Center and the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. The Perry Center is a service unit of the Salvation Army. Funds donated to the Red Kettle Campaign at the IGA come back to the Perry Center, often with a multiplier effect. The Perry Center uses these funds to purchase food and paper products at a discounted rate from the Greater Cleveland Foodbank.
